How does it work?

Using Radiofrequency technology, Genius stimulates the dermis of the skin to produce collagen and elastin.  These are the skin “hormones” that give the skin its youthfulness, bounce, and plumpness.

The tips of the gold-plated microneedles emit the radiofrequency waves that provide deeper treatments into the epidermis causing coagulation of the dermis and underlying fat.

How does the treatment feel?

You will feel some heat and pressure. The treatment is tolerable but Dr. Comia will work with you to maximize your comfort level. Compared with CO2 lasers, many find Lutronic Genius much more comfortable.

How long is the downtime?

There is initial redness and swelling which substantially subsides after 24-36 hours, but can take up to a week to completely resolve. Most people resume normal activities within 48 hours.

How long does the treatment take and how many will I need?

The treatment varies depending on the area being treated. A treatment could take as little as 30 minutes and up to an hour. Dr. Comia will discuss your goals, which will determine the length and number of treatments you will need. Many see results after just one treatment!

How long before I see results?

You can expect to see some changes within a day or two after the procedure. However, your body will continue to build collagen for several weeks after that, so you will see improvement over the next six months.

How long will my results last?

Unlike many other procedures, this has long-lasting results as it is your own body at work. With proper maintenance and a good skin care regimen, the effects could last for years.
